As part of this celebration, New York City’s The Doughnut Project is teaming up with Redemption Rye Whiskey for a special doughnut honoring Repeal Day. The whiskey brand is focused on bringing back rye whiskey to its pre-Prohibition glory as a top spirit in America, hence its interest in Repeal Day.
On Friday, December 1 through Tuesday, December 5, The Doughnut Project will offer an Old Fashioned Cocktail Doughnut, made with Redemption Rye Whiskey.
The New York-based doughnut shop recently teamed up with another alcoholic beverage company, Angry Orchard Hard Cider, for a fall-inspired doughnut. On National Apple Cider Day on Saturday, November 18, the two companies introduced The Angry Crisp Doughnut.
