Barry Callebaut is expanding its La Morella Nuts brand into the United States.
The Reus, Spain-based business began its global expansion in Europe and Asia in 2020 and will come to North America in 2021, the company said. It will introduce an indulgent specialty nut range specially formulated for use in plant-based beverages, snacks and frozen treats.
La Morella Nuts recently opened a global Center of Expertise in Reus. The facility combines expertise in taste, texture, sourcing and sustainability, as well as application knowledge. It offers a virtual and physical experience for customers to co-develop new ingredients and applications.
