New York City’s iconic bagel brand H&H Bagels has announced a partnership with Chicago-style pizza brand Emmett’s, known for bringing authentic Chicago deep-dish and tavern-style pies to New York, to create a limited-edition pizza bagel in celebration of National Pizza Day on Friday, February 9.
Fusing their New York and Chicago roots to create an indulgent bite, the limited-edition product starts with a premium H&H plain bagel, topped with parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, jalapeno, pepperoni, fresh tomato sauce and Mike’s Hot Honey, with the end product resembling Emmett’s top-selling signature “Hot Girl” pie.
“This partnership is a fun twist on a nostalgic classic, showcasing the versatility of our bagels,” says Jay Rushin, chief executive officer of H&H Bagels. “Emmett’s shares many of our same values in terms of quality products, excellent service, and using the freshest ingredients. With the upcoming opening of our first Chicago location in 2024, this collaboration was a no brainer!”
“Collaborating with a New York institution like H&H Bagels is both a huge honor and a meaningful milestone for Emmett’s after recently commemorating our 10th anniversary as a brand,” says Emmett Burke, Emmett’s owner. “It’s a thrill to experiment with new ways to make our signature pies, and to execute this with a partner that mirrors our ethos of pairing tradition and quality ingredients to create a final dish is as delicious as it is memorable.”
The limited-edition pizza bagels will only be available from Friday, February 9, through Sunday, February 11 exclusively at H&H Bagels’ Upper East Side and Upper West Side locations in New York City.
