The cool, marine climate of the Pacific Northwest creates the ideal environment for growing red raspberries that will be frozen within hours of being harvested and transformed into versatile formats.
This July, the Bread Bakers Guild of America (BBGA) and the Retail Bakers of America (RBA) are teaming up for a series of special learning events, made possible through the support of the Washington Red Raspberry Commission.
Held at different Guild member bakeries on the West Coast, these events will allow attendees to sample sumptuous products featuring Washington Red Raspberries, and learn applications of these beautiful berries while connecting with fellow bakers.
The events include:
- July 23 at 5 pm: Grand Central Bakery in Portland, Oregon
- July 25 at 4 pm: Macrina Bakery in Seattle, Washington
- July 27 at 5 pm: Starter Bakery in Oakland, California
These events are free, but summer fruit lovers and other interested individuals are encouraged to register at the links above.
