Pastry chef Zac Young, the innovator behind the renowned PieCaken for Thanksgiving, is offering a new take on the dessert for the upcoming Passover holiday.
The PassCaken features a matzo-crusted coconut macaroon pie topped with flourless chocolate cake and raspberry mousse garnished with gilded chocolate and sea salt matzo crumble. It's available on Goldbelly for $99 and customers can order now for shipping the week of Passover.
What started as a holiday dessert special for a New York City hotel has turned into a certified phenomenon. Known as “The Turducken of Cakes,” the PieCaken is a four-in-one layered dessert that is a favorite of celebrities like Kelly Ripa and has even appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s O List.
