In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Miami’s The Salty Donut is offering a limited-time hybrid donut using a popular Hispanic food.

Starting Tuesday, September 18 and lasting until the end of September, the flan croughnut will be available on The Salty Donut’s menu. This special mashup consists of a 24-hour layered brioche croughnut filled with a homemade baked flan custard, infused with a Havana Club Rum reduction, rolled in a light cinnamon sugar, and topped with a hard candy caramel and 24k gold dust.

In addition, guests who order the flan croughnut will receive another special offer. They’ll also get a mini bottle of Havana Club Rum with a recipe card for the ultimate Cuban cocktail pairing, while supplies last.

The shop gave away a one-day sneak peak of the treat on Monday through Uber Eats. It offered a four-pack box for delivery that featured two flan croughnuts and two limited-edition “café con leche” doughnuts that the shop says it will never make again.
