Philadelphia’s Federal Donuts is celebrating the arts in a special way during the month of October. In honor of Mural Arts Month and the city’s storied mural program, the donut chain is debuting the “Berries & Cream” donut.

Available at any Federal Donuts location from October 1-8, the Berries & Cream donut is a classic spiced cake donut topped with tart blackberry glaze, a sweet cream drizzle, and sprinkles. A portion of the proceeds from its sales will be donated to the Mural Arts’ Art Education program.

The Mural Arts Art Education program empowers youth to be leaders through artmaking via in-school and after-school arts-based programming. The program reaches more than 2,000 students at 25 sites across Philadelphia.

The Berries & Cream donut will also be available at the newest Federal Donuts location, which is set to open on Friday, October 5 on Philadelphia’s famed South Street, which is known for being edgy, hip, and diverse.

“For generations, South Street has played a part in so many Philadelphia stories,” says Federal Donuts co-owner Steve Cook. “Immigrants, artists, activists and students have all found a home along this unique stretch of the city. Federal Donuts is honored to become a part of this story for the next generation.”
