In March, Joanne Chang of Flour Bakery + Café announced that the bakery had been working on an exciting new dessert that would soon debut at its several Massachusetts locations, as well as the Myers + Chang restaurant in Boston.

That day has arrived, as a new cake flavor is officially available at all of those stores. The birthday cake offering features vanilla bean cake with a chocolate pudding frosting and homemade sprinkles.

The cake is available by the slice at Myers + Chang, but is available in full cakes at all of the Flour locations through pre-order. Sometime soon, it’s expected that the cake will also be available by the slice at Flour.

Flour Bakery + Café is constantly innovating. Joanne Change and her team recently released an entire line of products made with whole grains. The project is called WHOLEflour, and features brownies, cookies, muffins, scones, and much more.
