The “O’riginal” Glazed Doughnut will be available at participating locations in the U.S. and Canada. It puts a twist on the original version by specially formulating it with green dough.
“Krispy Kreme O’riginal Glazed Doughnuts are fun to eat all on their own, so we thought there is no better way to dial up the fun than going green for St. Patrick’s Day. We know many people also celebrate the holiday Friday, so we’re making the O’riginal Glazed Doughnuts available that day, too,” says Jackie Woodward, Chief Marketing Officer of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
The promotion has been very successful for Krispy Kreme in recent years. The chain encourages its customers to use the hashtag #GreenDoughnuts on social media to show that they’re going green.
