Team USA’s journey to Paris has begun. The Bread Bakers Guild of America announced that Team USA members Nicky Giusto, Jacob Baggenstos, and Jeff de Leon have had their first practice, working under the direction of coach Harry Peemoeller.
The team was together the last weekend of May for their first official practice session. They were graciously hosted by Chef Donald Wressel, who donated his time and space at the Guittard Chocolate Studio in Culver City, CA.
This was the first of what will be many sessions by the team to prepare for the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie scheduled for February of 2016 in Paris, France. This session was the first opportunity for the team members to work together, sharing ideas, and setting the tone for the challenge that lies ahead.
