On Memorial Day, multiple tornadoes swept through western Ohio, causing a great deal of devastation. The city of Dayton was particularly affected by the tornadoes, which destroyed homes, businesses, and so much more.

Surrounding communities have rallied behind the Dayton area, and a well-known Ohio bakery has offered its support. Cincinnati’s Busken Bakery has announced that it is partnering with The Dayton Foundation in response to the devastation.

The bakery recently began selling a special cookie, with a portion of the proceeds from its sales going to help storm victims through The Dayton Foundation’s Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund. The #DaytonStrong cookie is a sugar cookie decorated with red and white sprinkles, a design in the shape of Ohio, and the hashtag #DaytonStrong.

The cookie will be available at all 8 of Busken Bakery’s Cincinnati-area locations, at a cost of $2.95 per cookie.

The Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund allows The Dayton Foundation to distribute funds to charitable organizations that are addressing long-term and immediate needs for those in the area affected by these storms, and for assisting in rebuilding and recovery efforts.
