On Monday, February 4, Insomnia Cookies is holding a celebration in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. That is the home of the warm cookie delivery bakery’s 150th location, which is also its tenth in the city.

Insomnia Cookies was founded in 2003 by Seth Berkowitz in his college dorm room at the University of Pennsylvania. He realized that the only foods being delivered late at night were pizza and more savory items. His sweet tooth led him to the discovery that others felt the same way, so he started baking cookies in his dorm room and delivering them at all hours of the night.

The company carries on that spirit today, as it continues to take its concept across the country. To celebrate its major milestone, Insomnia Cookies is giving guests at every Insomnia Cookies location one free traditional cookie with any in-store purchase from Monday, February 4 through 3 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5.

Additionally, at the new Philadelphia location, guests are being offered a limited-time deal of a six-pack of traditional cookies for $1.50 (one per person) with the opportunity to win a mystery Insomnia Cookies gift card in the box.

“Opening our 150th location is so exciting to see and it’s even sweeter that it’s right here in Philadelphia where Seth Berkowitz started the concept at UPenn.” says Tom Carusona, Chief Marketing Officer of Insomnia Cookies. “It’s only fitting that we celebrate this accomplishment with free cookies for all of our Insomnia Cookie enthusiasts!”
