These latest additions to the Starbucks cold beverage lineup are made with slow-steeped Starbucks Cold Brew, alternative milk, and plant-based proteins. These non-dairy beverages provide a source of protein and energy, and come in Almond and Cacao flavors.
The Almond Protein Blended Cold Brew features almond milk, plant-based protein, almond butter, a banana date fruit blend, and ice. The Cacao Protein Blended Cold Brew features coconut milk, plant-based protein, cacao powder, a banana date fruit blend, and ice.
Protein Blended Cold Brews join the growing list of cold coffee innovations at Starbucks. Earlier this year, the company brought its Cold Foam Cold Brew beverages to customers nationwide. A “cold foam” mimicking the steamed milk customers get with hot beverages is made by blending nonfat milk until it is smooth, creating layers of creamy texture and flavor without the cream.
