Washington, D.C.’s premiere cupcake bakery is providing a taste of the British royal wedding in the form of its signature desserts.

Georgetown Cupcake has created a “royal wedding dozen,” a collection of lemon elderflower cupcakes based on the flavor of the wedding cake that will be enjoyed at the May 19 wedding reception of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The cupcakes also feature frosted white roses for added elegance.

“When we found out Harry and Meghan's wedding cake flavor was lemon elderflower, we knew we had to do something special at Georgetown Cupcake to celebrate,” says Georgetown Cupcake co-founder Sophie Kallinis LaMontagne.

To complete the look, these special cupcakes are also decorated with pearlized wedding sprinkles, fondant Union Jacks, and “H&M” logos. It’s not the first time Georgetown Cupcake has celebrated a royal wedding, as the bakery also created special cupcakes for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011.
