Technology company Dropoff has announced a new market for its same-day delivery service. The Austin-based company will now operate in San Jose, making it the 18th national market in which the company services retail, food, and other businesses.

With today’s launch also comes the news that Dropoff’s first client in San Jose will be SusieCakes Bakery. The nationally-recognized bakery has continued to expand both in California and Texas in recent years, and looks to get its products to customers quicker than ever with its new partnership.

“Our customers count on us to be there for the moments that matter. We know we can rely on Dropoff’s professional drivers to act as an extension of our brand, and their real-time tracking technology to keep us in the loop on every delivery,” says Susan Sarich, CEO of SusieCakes. “Dropoff helps us expand our business and enables cake lovers to satisfy their cravings with a fresh bakery treat delivered to their door in pristine condition.”

Same-day shipping has become a valuable resource for retailers. According to Google, mobile searches related to same-day shipping have grown over 120% since 2015. Businesses are noticing that trend and tailoring their services to fit those needs.

That’s where Dropoff comes in. The company uses real-time tracking and confirmations, flexible delivery options, and feature-rich APIs (among other unique features) to improve the delivery experience nationwide. Dropoff counts SusieCakes, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Voodoo Doughnuts among its major bakery clients.

“Dropoff's success comes from ensuring our clients have a high quality, professional delivery partner they can trust. With our highly customizable service and API integration ability, they can stay in control of the customer experience and their data,” says Sean Spector, CEO of Dropoff.
