As the people of Houston have been struggling with being trapped by flood waters from Hurricane Harvey, many citizens have looked to help the situation. The bakers at El Bolillo Bakery did something wonderful with their time trapped inside of their facility.

To pass the time as they waited, El Bolillo’s bakers made sheets of pan dulce to give to people in need. According to the Houston Chronicle, they used 4,200 pounds of flour over the course of two days over the weekend to bake the sweet bread for the community.

“Hurricane Harvey pan dulce we are going to take to those in need. Bakers we're stuck inside for two days!” the bakery posted on Facebook on Monday, August 28.

They spent Monday morning driving around to deliver the pan dulce to Houstonians, before re-opening its store on Tuesday.
