The Great Australian Bakery is now offering catering of their delicious meat pies, sausage rolls, pasties and dessert pastries in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area. Owner Laurence Lindahl began noticing that guests were buying pies by the shopping bag full, and the idea of catering was born.

Currently there are two options available when it comes to catering, The Kangaroo Party Tray and The Kangaroo Dessert Tray. The Kangaroo Party Tray offers savory selections from The Great Australian Bakery’s menu.

Guests can choose up to four flavors, which include minced beef, steak and cheese, sausage rolls or a beef and veggie pastry. A tray that feeds between up to 15 guests is priced a little less than $50. Trays made to feed between 15-20 guests are priced a little less than $70.

The Kangaroo Dessert Tray offers a variety of the dessert options including Lamingtons, apple turnovers, a vanilla slice and custard tarts. All the desserts are made “Joey-sized,” meaning they are made smaller than what is offered in the traditional restaurant setting.

 “We want as many people as possible to experience the taste from my homeland,” says The Great Australian Bakery owner Laurence Lindahl. “Our guests have been asking to have the same incredible taste for their special occasions and we are happy to supply it to them.”
