The spring season always seems to reinvigorate society, and our food is no exception. The changing weather brings a change in flavors, as well as colors.
Duck Donuts is saying hello to spring with the return of a seasonal favorite, Key lime icing. The specialty citrus icing is made with fresh lime zest and juice. It will be available on donuts now through the summer season at all Duck Donuts locations.
“It was a combination of the fresh ingredients used in our Key lime icing paired with a warm donut that had Duck Donuts fans nationwide asking us to bring back this spring-inspired flavor after its debut last year,” says Russ DiGilio, CEO and founder of Duck Donuts. “We are excited to once again offer Key lime icing throughout all of our locations, giving our customers the opportunity to create even more unique donut combinations with this flavor.”
In addition to Key lime icing, Duck Donuts also offers the seasonal Citrus Assortment. Available until June 2, the assortment includes combinations such as Key lime icing with graham cracker crumbs, lemon icing with coconut flakes, and cinnamon sugar with Key lime drizzle.
Also available at Duck Donuts for a limited time is the Easter Assortment. From April 13-21, customers can get this assortment that includes vanilla icing with green sprinkles and chocolate Easter eggs, along with classics such as strawberry icing with rainbow sprinkles and cinnamon sugar with vanilla drizzle.
These exciting donut combinations can be paired with hot or iced espresso beverages including S’mores Mocha, Honey Cinnamon Latte, and Caramel Nut Latte.
