With the rise of CBD-infused foods at eateries across the country, bakeries are getting in on the action with their own infused eats. One of the latest big names to offer a CBD product is Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken.

At its locations in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, Astro Doughnuts is offering a CBD-infused chocolate buttercream birthday cake doughnut. The doughnut’s buttercream frosting contains CBD oil.

“People put it [CBD] in shakes, take it to relax,” says Elliot Spaisman, co-owner of Astro Doughnuts. “We thought it would be fun to add it to a doughnut and kind of make it more comforting.”

The limited-edition treat is available daily at the Washington, D.C. location and on Sundays only at the Los Angeles location.

Another famous donut shop with West Coast locations recently introduced its own CBD donut. Last month, Blue Star Donuts in Portland began offering a chocolate hazelnut donut featuring CBD derived from hemp.
