CAULIPOWER, the maker of healthier pizza options using cauliflower-based crusts, recently conducted an online survey through strategic consultancy Kelton Global to learn more about America's relationship with pizza.

According to the results of the survey, 98 percent of Americans eat pizza, with 54 percent saying that they “love pizza.” It’s a mealtime staple for many households, and 33 million Americans even go as far as to say that it would be their last meal on Earth if they had a choice.

With National Pizza Day approaching on Saturday, February 9, it’s important to look at both the positives and negatives when it comes to this food. While pizza makes many people happy, too much of it can be bad for their health. For those looking to lose weight, 84 percent said they would rethink their relationship to pizza.

Many Americans are looking for a better option. The survey found that nearly three quarters of Americans would eat more pizza if it were healthier, including if it had half the calories (69%), was rich in nutrients (45%), featured veggies (31%), or had half the sugar (27%).

CAULIPOWER is celebrating National Pizza Day by offering a buy one, get one free deal on its pizzas. Fans will be able to get the coupon for the offer online on National Pizza Day and will be able to redeem it from then until Valentine’s Day on Thursday, February 14.
