Few bakery chains make as big a deal about cookies as Great American Cookies. That will be even more so on Friday, December 4, when National Cookie Day takes place.

Once again this year, Great American Cookies is treating guests to one free chocolate chip cookie per person at participating stores, no purchase necessary, on National Cookie Day.

“2020 has been a doozie of a year, or as we like to say at Great American Cookies, a Double Doozie of a year,” says Annica Conrad, chief marketing officer for Global Franchise Group, the parent company of Great American Cookies. “We are incredibly grateful to our customers for their loyalty and business throughout 2020 and would like to treat them to one of our famous Original Chocolate Chip Cookies. After everything we've been through, we all deserve a cookie.”

The holidays are a big time for Great American Cookies. The mall-based bakery chain offers dozens of cookie flavors, as well as holiday-themed cookie cakes. Personalized cookie cakes are expected to be a popular item during this season.
