European Influence
Many bakeries draw from European influences. However, Maple Street Patisserie’s master baker and pastry chef Ziggy Chichowski, is, in fact, European.
Chef Ziggy
Chef Ziggy is both a Master Pasty Chef and Master Baker, a rarity. Ziggy fled communist Poland at the age of 21 and brought with him the recipes and talent to make traditional European pastries and breads.
Born out of Love
Chef Patricia-Ann Donohue met Chef Ziggy, they fell in love, and started Maple Street Patisserie in 2010.
Specialties
The bakery makes breakfast pastries such as croissant, almond croissants, chocolate croissants, 5 different danish, 8 different turnovers, muffins, cookies, savory breakfast pastries, dessert pastries, tarts, pies, cakes, and its popular Napoleons.
Breads
The bakery also makes numerous artisan breads from is original starters.
Wholesale
Maple Street Patisserie Wholesale opened in 2014. It now has over 180 accounts in the New Orleans, such as The House of Blues, Ruth's Chris Steak House, District Donuts, Central Grocery, and hotels like The Westin and Hyatts.
