The latest addition to the menu at the Boston location is a limited-edition cannoli icebox bar. The chilled dessert consists of a Nilla wafer crust, sweet whipped ricotta filling with a hint of lemon, and a layer of mini chocolate chips on top.
The bars, which cost $6 each and are available throughout August, take inspiration from classic cannoli that are a big draw at bakeries in the city.
“We took inspiration from all of the delicious cannoli you can find around the North End and are excited to share our version of the iconic dessert with our Boston fans,” Magnolia Bakery chief baking officer Bobbie Lloyd tells Boston.com. “Icebox desserts are great for summer since they’re so refreshing, making this limited-edition cannoli icebox bar perfect for these humid August days.”
