After a successful test run earlier this year at a small number of locations in Boston, donut fries have been added to the permanent menu at Dunkin’ Donuts locations nationwide.

Beginning Monday, July 2, this sweet spin on classic fries will be available for $2 per order of five. Donut Fries feature individual pieces of delicious, buttery croissant style donut dough that are tossed in cinnamon sugar and served warm.

“As America’s donut leader, we put our passion and creativity towards finding fun and unexpected ways to please and surprise donut fans,” says Tony Weisman, Chief Marketing Officer, Dunkin’ Donuts U.S.” “There was a strong consumer response towards bringing Donut Fries to all Americans during the initial test, and we are excited to make this unique donut treat available nationwide this summer.”

In addition, Dunkin’ Donuts is launching two new donuts and a new Cold Brew flavor for the summer. The Chocolate Coconutty Donut has coconut crème filling with real flakes of coconut, is frosted with chocolate icing, and is sprinkled with crumbled shortbread cookie pieces. The Shark Bite Donut features white icing and special shark-shaped sprinkles. Finally, the Brown Sugar Cold Brew adds naturally flavored brown sugar syrup to Dunkin’ Donuts’ Cold Brew coffee.
