A popular food item among millennials is being turned into a sweet treat, courtesy of world-renowned pastry chef Dominique Ansel. His soon-to-open Los Angeles bakery will offer The Avocado Toast Ice Cream Sandwich.

The ice cream sandwich is made with avocado-and-olive-oil ice cream, ricotta mascarpone ice cream, sitting on house-made shortbread and topped with dragon fruit, freeze-dried raspberries, and finished with olive oil and sea salt.

Other creative treats that will be featured at the new bakery include a mousse dessert that looks like a California (sushi) Roll, a Ruby Tart that has pomegranate seeds, lychee ganache, cherry jam and almond frangipane in a vanilla sablé tart shell, and a White Peach Amaretto and Muscovado Sugar Cronut.

Dominique Ansel Bakery Los Angeles was originally scheduled to open on November 3, but has now been pushed back one week until November 10. The bakery will have a 9 a.m. PST opening, followed the next day by brunch and dinner at the new 189 by Dominique Ansel restaurant.
