The Ames, Iowa Police Department is offering to share the donuts it loves with its community in a Spring Campaign to reduce crime.
In a recent video shared on the department's Facebook page, officers eat donuts while discussing the campaign, which offers freebies at social events to those who “donut disrespect, donut discriminate, donut harrass and donut hate.”
As the officers in the video state, "It's simple. Respect each other, and donut make bad decisions, and we'll give you free donuts."
The video, which you can see above, has been viewed over 393,000 times as of the morning of April 19, 2017.
