Beyond Meat is set to release its fourth generation of Beyond Burger and Beyond Beef products.

The reformulated plant-based meats were designed with an emphasis on nutritional benefits, according to the company. The updated recipe now features avocado oil, which helped reduce the saturated fat content by 60% to 2 grams per serving, 20% less sodium and nutrient-dense ingredients like red lentil and fava beans.

“Beyond IV represents a transformative step forward in delivering plant-based nutrition to the consumer in the form of meat,” said Ethan Brown, founder and chief executive officer of Beyond Meat. “The development of the new products occurred within an ecosystem of leading medical and nutrition experts and were designed to meet the standards of national health organizations to create a product that delivers the taste, satisfaction and utility of 80/20 beef — yet is demonstrably healthier. Every ingredient in this fourth iteration was thoughtfully selected to bring the nutritional power of plants.”

Beyond IV products are expected to roll out into retailers across the United States this spring. The launch follows the Beyond Stack Burger, a smash-style burger for home cooking, which debuted in August.
