To celebrate its inaugural collaboration with the U.S. Open as the tournament’s official hotel partner, the Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) is hosting an interactive ice cream pop-up experience at Big Screen Plaza located at Kimpton Hotel Eventi in New York City on August 20-21 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. EST.

In partnership with New York City ice cream parlor Morgenstern’s, the IHG Ice Cream Cart will feature four artisanal ice cream flavors, each corresponding to one of IHG’s luxury lifestyle brands. Guests will receive the ice cream complimentary if they follow the IHG Instagram account.

Among the flavors available:

  • Lychee Raspberry Sorbet (InterContinental Hotels & Resorts)
  • Green Tea Pistachio (Six Senses Hotel Resorts Spas)
  • Bourbon Vanilla (Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants)
  • Tahini Caramel (Regent)

The pop-up ice cream lounge features a ‘70s tropical oasis look, surrounded by greenery and featuring a vintage palm print sofa and wicker furniture. Guests can relax and enjoy their ice cream, pose for photos, and learn more about the IHG Rewards Club. The big screen in the plaza will display a live feed of Instagram posts including the #ExperienceIHG hashtag.
