Kneaders Bakery & Café, with dozens of locations spread out across eight states, is planning a special deal for customers on Thursday, March 14. On that day, people will be celebrating Pi Day (3/14) in honor of the mathematical constant Pi (π).
3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant digits of π. Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, so it is often celebrated by eating its circular homophone pie.
Kneaders will offer customers $1.50 slices of pie with a purchase on Pi Day. Last year, the company sold over 1,200 total pies across all of its locations. Among the top-selling pie flavors were raspberry cream cheese, coconut cream, chocolate, and banana cream pie.
Founded by Gary and Colleen Worthington in 1997, Kneaders Bakery & Café is headquartered in Orem, Utah. The fast-casual concept offers European hearth breads, sandwiches, pastries, soups, and salads, all made in-house each day.
