Valentine’s Day is just two weeks away, and two businesses with a reputation for deliciousness are collaborating on a tasty treat in the lead-up to the special day.
Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur and Texas-based Bird Bakery have teamed up for the limited-edition Baileys Love Bird Jar. The product features Bird Bakery’s signature vanilla cupcake blended with fresh strawberries and topped with a Baileys Strawberries & Cream-infused buttercream.
The non-alcoholic dessert is available at both Bird Bakery locations in Dallas and San Antonio, as well as nationwide through the bakery’s website. Customers can purchase the Baileys Love Bird jar ($9.50 each) from Friday, February 1 through Sunday, February 17.
Below is a recipe to make the Baileys Strawberries & Cream-infused buttercream:
20 oz Baileys Strawberries & Cream, reduced
1 lb., 12 oz. Plugra Butter
6 lbs., 12 oz. Powdered Sugar
24 Strawberries, pureed
Using a mixer, beat butter until smooth, scrape bottom of bowl.
Slowly add powdered sugar until well-incorporated, scrape, as needed.
Slowly add reduced Baileys Strawberries & Cream* and puree until incorporated, beat until texture is fluffy.
*Reducing Baileys Strawberries & Cream
In a medium saucepan over high heat, pour 20 oz. of Baileys Strawberries & Cream in the sauce pan.
Bring contents to 172 degrees to ensure alcohol is evaporated.
