Ingredients

Westco Richblend Cake Donut Mix  1/50 LB

Westco Cream Cheese RTU Icing  1/20 LB

Westco Flaked Sweetened Coconut  1/10 LB

Bakesense Palm Fry Shortening  1/50 LB

 

Directions

 

Mix

 

Mix 5 LB Westco Richblend Cake Donut Mix, 8 oz. powdered purple yam and 2 LB 11 oz. water for one minute on low speed. Scrape the bowl and mix an additional 90 seconds on medium speed. Let the batter rest for 15 minutes so the mix can have the time to fully absorb the water.

 

Fry

Deposit the batter into a 375°F fryer filled with BakeSense Palm Fry Shortening and fry for 55 seconds per side. Let the donuts drain.

Finish

After the donuts have cooled, pipe a large rosette of Westco Cream Cheese Icing on the top of each donut.

Sprinkle toasted Westco Sweetened Flaked Coconut on top of rosettes.

Garnish each donut with a stemmed maraschino cherry dipped in crystal sugar.

Approx. Yield: 65 – 2 oz. donuts
