Katiebug's Sips & Sweets knows how to change a business model quickly and adapt. Run by mother and daughter Melissa and Katie Morgan, the business started out in a vintage food truck before taking that vintage flair and moving it to a converted house.

The sweet shop even converted a side window of the house into a drive-thru to make things safe and convenient for customers who still want to get their baked goods.

Another creative idea Katiebug's is using to great success is its DIY Kits that each have special themes to help entertain families stuck at home. This “camping in your living room kit” come with Katiebug’s homemade marshmallows, homemade graham crackers, chocolate bars, a camping supply list, and a guide to blanket forts.

The shop also has kits for decorating cookies, another fun activity for children and adults alike.

This game night box includes edible Jenga cookie towers, jelly bean roulette, puzzle cookies, pool cake balls, twister cookie dunkers, dice Rice Krispie treats, domino brownies, scramble cupcakes, and snack mix. Each box also comes with instructions for one of Katiebug's favorite games, Farkel.

In addition to these kits, Katiebug's also offers its popular cake by the slice in a variety of rotating flavors such as Thin Mint.

One of the shop's newest items is its almond sugar and chocolate chip cookie cake bars.
