Carlo’s Bakery, a multi-location bakery run by Buddy Valastro (a.k.a. the “Cake Boss”), is opening a new location in Santa Monica, California.

The traditional Italian bakery dates back to 1910. Buddy’s father, Bartolo Valastro Sr., bought the bakery in 1964 and passed it on to his son much later on. The Santa Monica location will be the bakery’s latest following the recent successful opening of a location in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in January. Later this spring, another Carlo’s Bakery is set to open in Houston.

An opening date has not been given for the Santa Monica Carlo’s yet, but the space is in progress and a Facebook page for the location has been set up by the company.

Carlo’s Bakery is featured on the TLC hit show Cake Boss, and has become famous for its cakes, pastries, and other Italian specialties. Buddy’s cake design was voted by the Today Show's viewers as best cake in America and he has also appeared in many other media outlets for his intricate sugar art designs.
