The Bake Fest, a virtual event created as a place for all to learn, build networking opportunities and exchange tips so everyone can grow together, is back for its third year on May 20 and 21, 2023.
This year's event promises to be bigger than ever, with new classes and experiences to help all bakers – home bakers, pastry chefs and bakery owners, recipe developers and baking influencer – take their baking and business skills to the next level.
Attendees will have access to two full days of virtual hands-on baking classes, baking theory and demos, baking business classes and social media classes (with recordings available for a full year). Plus, the event will have brand demos, networking sessions, meet-and-greet opportunities with instructors, prizes and much more.
Some of the classes that will be offered include:
- Pie Crust 101 (Erin Jeanne McDowell) – Dive in deep to the process of making a perfect pie crust by hand, including additional manipulation techniques to achieve a variety of different textures and end results.
- How to Build a Baking Brand (Coinneach MacLeod) – Coinneach will walk you through what it takes to create a brand – from picking your tone of voice to building a social media presence to partnerships, events and book deals.
- Cake Jars (Denea Gresham) – Bitsy (Denea) will walk you through her entire process of baking, creating and shipping her infamous cake jars in a brand new flavor – Banana Rocher. You’ll get recipes for the banana cake, Nutella buttercream, ganache and chocolate hazelnut wafer crunch – plus, you’ll learn how to properly assemble and ship cake jars.
- Creating Your Own Line of Custom Products (Barbara Hobart) – Learn why it’s important to create your own line of custom products, how to generate revenue with them, choosing products, financing, and sourcing.
On Saturday, April 1, early bird tickets will go on sale for only $85. Full price tickets will be $150. In addition to early ticket access, previous attendees will receive an additional bonus coupon that will provide even more savings on tickets. Those who sign up for a Baker Bosses annual membership before April 1 will get a coupon for 50 percent off the price of your Bake Fest ticket which can be redeemed at any time - even during the early bird sale.
