This month marks a popular West Coast bakery’s 16th anniversary. SusieCakes is celebrating its Sweet 16 like it’s 2006. On Saturday, July 16, the bakery is deflating the price of its shippable cakes for the first 160 fans to order, giving all a reason to celebrate.

With inflation on the minds of consumers, SusieCakes understands the appreciation for every dollar. The bakery is lowering the price of either the best-selling Celebration Cake or fan-favorite Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake by 31 percent (equal to the difference of what a dollar was worth today, compared to 2006) for the first 160 people to order. After the first 160 cakes are sold, SusieCakes is offering 16 percent off the shippable cakes through the end of July.

Additionally, local fans in California and Texas are invited to visit their neighborhood shop for a “Buy One, Get One” deal on all cupcakes exclusively on July 16. The offer is available for one day and in-store only.

“It is not lost on me that this milestone would not be possible without each one of our loyal guests,” says founder Susan Sarich. “For 16 years, you have made SusieCakes a part of your lives, and I am so grateful. On behalf of our whole team, thank you for all the love you’ve shown SusieCakes over the years. It has meant the world to us.”

Founded in 2006, SusieCakes is inspired by the recipes passed down on 3x5 notecards to Susan Sarich by her grandmothers Mildred and Madeline. Now, SusieCakes has expanded to 26 bakeries across California and Texas with the recent addition of nationwide shipping of the two most popular cakes to cake-lovers across the country.
