Sara Brook

When you grow up learning how to read from the back of a chocolate chip cookie package, one might say it’s your destiny to become a pastry chef. That’s the career path fifth-generation Houstonian Sara Brook, owner and CEO of Dessert Gallery, chose.

Over 25 Years in Houston

A reason Dessert Gallery has been a staple of the community since 1995 is its attention to details and strict quality control in the kitchen. As Sara says, “If I wouldn’t serve it to you in my home, I won’t be serving it to you at Dessert Gallery.”

Made from Scratch

Dessert Gallery’s creations are made from scratch using real ingredients. A reason Houstonians love the bakery so much is because its desserts evoke nostalgia, such as with its Old-Fashioned Diner Cake.

Tres Leches

Dessert Gallery’s Tres Leches brings in customers from all over Texas to indulge in the legendary version of the traditional Mexican dessert. “We can’t make enough of this dessert! No matter how many we make every week, we always sell out!” says Brook.

Benefit the Community

The bakery gives back to the community through nonprofits like Undies for Everyone, Bo’s Place, Celebration Company, Lola's Lucky Day Animal Rescue, The Houston Food Bank, and the Anti-Defamation League of Houston.

Staff is Family

Longtime employees Danny Jackson and Dijana Iveljic run the bakery like it’s their own. Because most of the kitchen employees have been with the company for such a long time, the staff is more like family than employees.
