Dessert Style Donuts
This Grapevine, Texas bakery is a small family-owned business dedicated to made-from-scratch pies.
Dedicated to Pie
JudyPie is a vintage pie shop offering scratch-made pies with no pre-made fillings or artificial flavoring. It's a self-described "warm and inviting dining room just like Grandma's."
The bakery is centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth. It offers an intimate dining experience with pies sold by the slice for $7.00, 6" pies for $12.00, and larger pies for $35.00-$40.00.
Generations of Pies
JudyPie's recipes have been passed down from generation to generation. Lemon meringue, coconut cream, pecan, chocolate cream, cherry, and apple pies are a tradition for the shop.
A Little Something Extra
Cream pies at JudyPie get topped with vanilla wafer cookies for extra sweetness.
The shop donates a portion of sales to MHMR of Tarrant County for research in mental health, and also donates toiletries to the community center where people with mental illnesses can go and shower and be with others who suffer.
Pie It Forward
Through the Pie It Forward program, customers can pre-pay for a pie for someone else to enjoy later. This can be for someone in need, someone who has never tried JudyPie, or someone who forgot their wallet at home.
Owner Judy Balunda created a group called The Grapevine Pie Society, a group for people who share the desire to preserve the tradition of home-baked goods. Judy believes these traditions are important, especially at her shop.
