Prepare your favorite gingerbread dough, and use a specialty cutter to cut house shapes. Alternately, create your own pattern and cut dough with a kitchen or X-Acto knife®. TIP: Leftover Edible Images® or Designer Prints™ backing makes a wonderfully stable template material.

These cookies are iced using flood consistency royal icing. To make icing for this method, mix a batch of royal icing and set aside 1/3 of the regular recipe. Take the remaining 2/3 and thin it down with warm water. To test for correct consistency, drop thinned royal icing from your spatula into the royal icing in the bowl. If the drop disappears by the count of 15, the royal icing has reached correct consistency.

Setting aside some white run icing, use Premium Gel Colors to tint blue and brown icing.

Use a #3 Piping Tip with flood consistency icing to pipe the roof and the door. Before the icing dries, cover the roof with white non-pareils or Snowflake Quins.

Using #3 Piping Tip and brown icing, fill in the roof. When that sets slightly, add some snow to the chimney and cover it with white non-pareils.

Airbrush the Snowflake Assortment Dec-Ons® decorations with blue liquid airbrush color and let dry.

With a #3 Piping Tip, pipe a doorknob on the door.

Attach blue snowflakes and Winter Buddies Dec-Ons® decorations on the cookies with a dab of icing.
