Middleton, Wisconsin's Hubbard Avenue Diner made headlines earlier this year with the introduction of its pie tacos. These treats are baked in a pie crust shell and served in a traditional taco rack like at many Mexican restaurants.

The famous pie tacos come in a variety of flavors, such as Apple, Cherry, French Silk, Key Lime, and S'mores. The Apple flavor is covered in streusel topping, the Cherry flavor has pieces of sugared “lattice” crust on top, the French Silk flavor is topped with whipped cream and chocolate flakes, the Key Lime flavor is topped with whipped cream and lime zest, and the S’mores flavor features a rich chocolate filling mixed with toasted marshmallows and topped with toasted graham cracker.

With the fall season approaching, Hubbard Avenue Diner has added a new pie taco to the menu. The Pumpkin flavor consists of a spiced pumpkin pie filling and is topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. It will debut on Thursday, September 6.

Pie tacos are available in-store or to-go for $3.99 per taco, $9.99 for three, or even $38.99 for one dozen. They are sure to be a popular item heading into pie season, which generally lasts throughout fall and winter.
