On Wednesday, August 29, Dunkin’ Donuts announced that its On-the-Go Mobile Ordering is now available through Alexa, Amazon’s cloud-based voice service. DD Perks Reward members can link their accounts with the Alexa app to place mobile orders for Dunkin’ Donuts beverages, baked goods, and breakfast sandwiches, and then pick them up quickly and efficiently.

To start an order, guests simply say, “Alexa, order from Dunkin’ Donuts.” When an order is placed through Amazon Alexa, it asks which location they would like the order to be sent to and the time the order should be ready. Guests can even order from saved Favorites that have been previously ordered on the Dunkin’ Mobile App.

“Our integration with Amazon Alexa is our latest innovation to better serve members of our DD Perks program, which remains one of the fastest growing loyalty programs in the quick service restaurant industry, with nearly 8 million members,” says Stephanie Meltzer-Paul, Vice President, Digital and Loyalty Marketing for Dunkin’ Donuts U.S. “As a brand, we are always looking for ways to fit seamlessly into our guests’ daily routines and provide new levels of convenience and speed.”

Dunkin’ Donuts has made 2018 a year to focus on convenience. Early in the year, it introduced its new store format, with mobile ordering lanes for DD Perks Reward members. These exclusive lanes allow for streamlined pick-up. Additionally, the inside of these new stores features fully-integrated digital kiosks for customers to order with or without help from staff.
