Federal Donuts, one of the biggest names in donuts in the country, continues to grow throughout its home city.

In the fall, the iconic donut shop will open its seventh store in Philadelphia. The new location will be on the city's famed South Street, which is known for being edgy, hip, and diverse. This makes it an ideal location for a store due to the heavy foot traffic.

“For generations, South Street has played a part in so many Philadelphia stories,” says Federal Donuts co-owner Steve Cook. “Immigrants, artists, activists and students have all found a home along this unique stretch of the city. Federal Donuts is honored to become a part of this story for the next generation.”

Since first opening in Philadephia in 2011, Federal Donuts has gone on to win several awards and spawn new ventures. One of those was a cookbook which came out in September of 2017. Titled Federal Donuts: The (Partially) True Spectacular Story, the book serves as a biographical look at how Cook and business partner Michael Solomonov turned passion into a mini empire.
