The world’s largest and fastest growing gourmet pie and coffee shop is taking its concept to the Middle East, after signing a multi-unit franchise agreement with a franchisee in Saudi Arabia.

Abdulrhman Alrajhi will begin a ten-unit development plan that will bring The Pie Hole’s signature specialty pies to areas such as Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia. Alrajhi also operates multiple franchised locations for Gloria Jean’s Coffee and It’s A Grind Coffee House, which are headquartered in Austalia and California, respectively.

“The Pie Hole is such a unique, innovative, and welcoming concept, and I know their tasty gourmet pies and specialty coffee will be a refreshing addition to the Riyadh food scene, which is currently booming,” says Alrajhi. “The diverse and indulgent menu of sweet and savory pies makes it an attractive option for multiple day-parts, and, by positioning the locations in high-traffic areas, the brand is sure to achieve maximum exposure in this promising new market.”

The Pie Hole was started in 2011 by “Pie Mom” Becky Grasley. It was founded to bring four-generations-old family recipes to a wide audience. The menu features both traditional and modern pie flavors of the sweet and savory variety, including favorites like Earl Grey Tea Pie, Mom’s Apple Crumble, Mac ‘n Cheese Pot Pie, Cereal Killer Cheesecake, and more.

The gourmet pie concept currently operates eight locations across Southern California and three locations in Tokyo, Japan.
