In the fall, a collaboration will bring an iconic coffee flavor to beer. Dunkin’ Donuts has partnered with Boston-based Harpoon Brewery for the new Dunkin' Coffee Porter.

The beverage is a dark classic porter brewed with Dunkin' Donuts coffee. It will have a smooth, “roasty, malty” flavor profile, and a dark chocolate, espresso aroma.

Dunkin’ Coffee Porter will have a six percent alcohol-by-volume content, and it will be bottled and canned in the brand’s iconic pink and orange colors.

Harpoon spokesman Chris Bonacci told Boston.com that the product is scheduled to debut in late October or early November when coffee beer season traditionally begins

“This porter is our tribute to all the days that Dunkin’ has helped us fire up the brew kettle,” says one of the 12-ounce bottle’s labels, which were recently filed with the Treasury Department’s Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau.
