National Cheesecake Day takes place Monday, July 30, and one of the country’s premiere cheesecake destinations, Eli's Cheesecake, will be celebrating with a festival and more events in the lead-up to the big day.

The festivities kick off on Thursday, July 26 with the opportunity for visitors to decorate a slice of Eli’s Cheesecake at the Eli’s Farmer’s Market in Chicago from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will also be free cheesecake and dessert samples, in addition to a live acoustic guitar performance from Merv Collins.

The following day, visitors can decorate a cheesecake slice at Eli’s Bakery Café or get a free slice of cheesecake at Eli’s Cheesecake Café at O’Hare Airport.

On Saturday, July 28, Eli’s culinary team will teach guests how to make Cheesecake Sandwiches and Cheesecake Cannoli at Eli’s Bakery Café. The bakery will also offer a Unicorn Cupcake Decorating Class.

The Cheesecake Festival will take place on Sunday, July 29. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Eli’s Bakery, there will be a number of fun activities including a classic car show, a grilled lunch, cheesecake bingo, cheesecake hula hoop contests, eating contest, and The Jesse White Tumblers flying over a giant cheesecake.

Finally, National Cheesecake Day will see Eli’s handing out cheesecake throughout Chicago. Fans can follow #ElisMobile on Twitter to discover where Eli’s will be handing out the free slices throughout the day. Guests at Eli’s Cheesecake Bakery Café can also enjoy a free cheesecake slice decorating or try a special dessert such as the Eli’s Smoosh cheesecake ice cream combo or Eli’s Dippers, frozen cheesecake on a stick and dipped in chocolate.
