Dominique Ansel’s New York bakery is helping customers beat the heat this summer with frozen treats that are unlike anything else.

Recently, the bakery announced that it had introduced Kiwi Sorbet Bars to the menu. These ice cream treats are made with kiwi sorbet and a Tahitian vanilla ice cream center. To make it seem like a kiwi, the bars have poppy seeds that look like kiwi seeds, and the outside of the bars are made with a milk chocolate coating.

“Kiwis are one of those fruits that have a really unique flavor and texture. It’s sweet and a bit tart, and it works really well as a cold and refreshing sorbet for the summertime,” Dominique Ansel tells The Daily Meal.

Another unique cool treat Dominique Ansel is offering is a watermelon and soft serve hybrid. Originally introduced at its location in Japan last year, it features a slice of fresh, juicy watermelon filled with watermelon-flavored ice cream. It also includes chocolate “seeds” and sea salt sprinkled on top.
