To start off the month of June, Blue Star has partnered with a local ice cream eatery for a special product. Portland’s Ruby Jewel Ice Cream will be offering sandwiches using two Blue Star donuts to house its ice cream.
The Blue Star & Ruby Jewel sandwich is available at all three Ruby Jewel scoop shops, and comes in two flavors: the O.G. donut (which has a house-made Horchata, or Orxata, Glaze) with caramelized coffee ice cream and the Blueberry Bourbon Basil donut with marionberry ice cream.
Blue Star Donuts is ready to bring new flavors to Portland, both with this collaboration and with its new facility. Among the donuts that will be offered at the massive new location is the returning Fried Chicken Donut, a sweet and savory combination that consists of a glazed donut with spiced honey that is topped with fried chicken pieces and served with a side of hot sauce.
