On Tuesday, May 8, Panera Bread unveiled its plans to expand delivery to customers across the U.S., with the service now available in 897 cities and 43 states nationwide.

The service will be able to reach homes, hospitals, offices, college campuses, and much more in these participating markets. The service is entirely digital though the Panera app or website.

Panera began rolling out the service in 2016. It has driven consistent sales and growth in the cities where it’s available, taking advantage of the trend in convenience for consumers.

“Delivery is fueling our next phase of growth, and the success we have seen so far is exciting.  The combination of providing clean food options via an entirely digital experience is giving us a real advantage, and the momentum is just beginning,” says Blaine Hurst, Panera CEO.

On Wednesday, May 9, Panera is celebrating the announcement with a free cup of soup to customers’ delivery orders when they enter the code “PANERADELIVERS” and place a cup of soup in their cart.
