Byrd customers enjoyed the opportunity to try new flavors at the company’s newest retail location in Savannah, Georgia.

Award-winning cookie bakery Byrd Cookie Company recently held a grand opening celebration for its new retail location in Savannah, Georgia, the city where its headquarters is located. Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests lined up for free cookies, special giveaways, and a chance to check out the new retail space.

Byrd Cookie Company’s new location will feature its popular Cookie Bar, where customers can sample its 16 signature flavors displayed in old-fashioned glass cookie jars. The company has a large variety of unique flavors, including its Key Lime Cooler (the first cookie to win Dessert of the Year as the Fancy Food Show), Georgia Peach Cookie, Pink Lemonade Cookie, Salted Caramel, and much more.

Other features of the space include ice cream sandwich cookies made on-site, exclusive Savannah and Lowcountry-inspired gifts, unique wines from small-batch vintners, and carefully-selected pieces designed to enhance entertaining.

Byrd Cookie Company also unveiled its new headquarters location, which will make room for a new 170-foot band oven that will complement two existing baking lines to dramatically increase the company’s baking capacity.

“We’re in a major growth mode, as we meet the growing demand of corporate clients, including airlines, big box retailers, and other major companies,” says Byrd Cookie Company President Geoff Repella. “Once our new oven is up and running in June, we will be baking more than a billion cookies a year. We need to increase our capacity as we continue to grow, putting more cookies in more mouths.”
