Throughout spring, Baked by Melissa will help to make wishes come true through a collaboration with Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Beginning April 29 on World Wish Day and lasting until May 31, Baked by Melissa will sell blue-and-white tie-dye cupcakes. For every cupcake sold, the company will donate 75 cents to Make-A-Wish, fulfilling dreams for children with critical illnesses. Also available is a Latest & Greatest pack, and every one of those purchases will give Make-A-Wish $1.50.

April 29 marks the day the first wish was granted 38 years ago. Since then, more than 300,000 wishes have been fulfilled.

In December of 2017, Baked by Melissa founder Melissa Ben-Ishay helped to grant the wish of a young boy named Joshua, who wants to be a chef. This inspired Baked by Melissa to support Make-A-Wish with a special cupcake as its May Mini of the Month.

“I saw firsthand how a wish provides kids a chance to dream beyond their illness, beyond the pain and beyond the treatment — giving them hope to look to the future and see the light,” said Ben-Ishay in a statement.
