Just over a year ago, James Beard Award-winning chef Wylie Dufresne opened Du’s Donuts inside of The William Vale Hotel in Williamsburg. Dufresne developed a cake donut that is perfectly light and round, paying attention to every detail of the donut, even the glaze.

Du’s Donuts and Coffee features a diverse lineup of donuts, with a rotating set of flavors. Dufresne is now looking to bring those flavors to the grocery store, as his donuts will now be offered at select Whole Foods stores in New York City.

Locations in Tribeca, Bryany Park, Columbus Circle, Lower East Side, Gowanus, and Williamsburg will have signature flavors like peanut butter banana and brown butter key lime on hand for customers. Both full-size and mini versions of these donuts will be available.

Wylie Dufresne will be handing out free donuts at the following Whole Foods locations on Friday, April 20:

  • 9:00 a.m. EST – Williamsburg, 238 Bedford Avenue
  • 11:00 a.m. EST – Tribeca, 270 Greenwich Street
  • 1:00 p.m. EST – Bryant Park, 1095 6th Avenue
